Fish & Chips of Orange
Haddon salt operated his fish & chips store in Skengness in the north-eastern corner of England, as his father had before him. Americans passing through were taken by the taste of salts "non-greasy" fish & chips. Persuaded by the enthusiasm for his fish, he and his wife Grace came to the United States and opened their first shop in Sausalito, California, under the name "H. Salt Esq Authentic English Fish & Chips."
The year was 1965 when "H.Salt” first opened in Orange. Now, we are in the third generation of ownership. We still prepare and serve our fish & chips in the same delicious way. Last year, after 45 years at the same location, we moved to our new building at 597 N. Tustin.
We continue to maintain our traditions of cooking and quality as high as it’s been in the past. We are evolving to meet the needs of both our older, as well as our new customers. We still offer our " Original Recipe" of deep fried as well as grilled fish for those looking for a lighter choice.
We hope you will continue to support your local H. Salt, as you have for the past 46 years. We also hope you will enjoy our larger facility and your choice of many more fish entrees to choose from. Now the question becomes how you would like us to prepare your food.....Original or Grilled?"

5 Star Review - GoogleGreat fish&chip place along Tustin. I had the fish&chip and jumbo prawn combo, the seafood taste fresh, well fried and good! The basic onion rings are really well fried and fresh, probably one of the best I have had. Price is very reasonable as well.

5 Star Review - GoogleI've had fish and chips in both London and Cardiff and this is right on comparable to them. Better than honestly even Long John Silvers. It actually tastes authentic. Well done, great service too :) . The tartar sauce and vinegar are right on.
